financial crisis in the global economy?
oh yes... massive problems in america this weekend.. hence why our desks have opened up for overnight trading and i'm in the fekking office to cover on my own until 5.30 tomorrow!
anyone not aware.. lehman's have gone under and BOA are looking to buy merril lynch.
general conscensus here is to expect 25% wiped off of the global markets by the time london officially opens for trading tomorrow!
P.S. - get your arse in to work Lee!!! don't see why i should suffer on my own!
P.P.S. 25% may well be a long way out, it's just the figures being bandied about in here at the moment.

Just had to use good old google to do a bit of quick research on the names thats been mentioned.
would seem that Lenhams and Merril Lynch are/where very big name within investment banking
Certainly not looking good then.

just finding my feet
though i know FUCK ALL about investments/banking,, or most things tbh but i understand what some companys do,,,, if buying a company thats failing and they can turn it around its generally kept secret from everyone,,,,, if they want to panic people to get backing then they leak it to everyone,,,,,, look at the history of banking around 100 years ago with the scare mongering done buy the bigger banks to put there rivals out of business,, getting the customers to withdraw there gold wiping there value to nothing,,, then buying them
rockafella ect have made me doubt big business
though i only know what i get told

..BS Motorsport..
Ive been working on one of merill lynchs data centres recently and they were having to cut back big time on the ammount of money they could spend, this was about 6 months ago now so they obviously had an idea of how things were going. Theres a few of the newer towers (small ones at that) going up at the wharf that we're working on and Im led to believe a lot of people have revoked their intrest in tenancy. Not really relevant to this situation I know but it makes you think.
