I love the way the united fans turn this into a premiership decider, ' its early days ', non of us liverpool fans have mentioned winning the league, were just happy that we beat our most fierce rivals in our biggest game of the season, you can make out its just another game if you want, but when you beat us, its a different kettle of fish isnt it. even alex ferguson didnt mention anything about the league, he still showed he was pissed off because he knows this one result may be just 3 points, but it means so much more as far as bragging rites for the fans etc, while the united fans in here are just brushing it off like its nothing.

It is somewhat satisfying to see both Keane and Berba having trouble, but Liverpool were by far the better team in the 2nd half, and as both Hansen and Lawrensen said on MOTD the Man Utd defence was shocking, even before Vidic got the redun. Of course it's early day's, but reap the victories when you can

Just because a player isn't banging in goals doesn't mean he is playing badly.

Without Keane the game would have been so different, he never gave the defensive pair or the deep midfielders any time on the ball whatsoever, and it spread throughout the team, him and Kuyt in particular were amazing when we didn't have the ball.

One thing to note about Keane is that he has always been a slow starter at new clubs....but i'm certain his attacking play will improve in the coming weeks.

i'm also sure that Berbatov will be a great signing too, unfortunately.

yep great result and was celebrated yesterday but to me its hardly worth celebrating anymore now as lets face it 1 win in 4.5 years is poor when your liverpool FC, what we now need to do is be unbeaten home and away against them for that same amount of time or longer. Im sure that this result will be good for us yes but and this is a big but it will be good for them too as they are really going to have to start playing soon and that will be bad for everybody. I more than anybody hope they dont win it this time and equal our proud record, and i hope that we can be the ones to stop them but its early days yet and we will just have to wait and see.

I disagree mate, I thought post Tevez goal you hammered us all game with lots of pressure and crosses and on performance deserved to win the game. Was really angry at how we played, shit.

He set up an nice goal with a great pass but sadly the team was shit and outplayed in the biggest game/s in world club football and his first game.

I gotta agree with some of the opinions here. I'm a Liverpool fan and exstatic that we with our weak line up won against a very strong team, but Keane wasn't very impressive at all...pretty crap really.

And whoever says the new golden boy Berbatov is crap, well you know your just shooting yourself in the foot. Did you miss the moment he faught off two of our guys and shot a superb pass to that ugly fu*ker Tevez? That was a class ball no matter what team is involved. Wait great things from this man....

Luckily, i disagree with you too!!

I didn't think we were THAT good first half, until we scored i was still worried about how we'd score.

At that point i'd have taken a draw, in all honesty!

But from the start of the second half we were just on fire, really impressive work rate.

Berbatov's 'pass' was no more than a hopeful ball across the penalty area, it was lucky for him that Tevez was breaking into the box at the perfect moment imo....but as i said before, he's gonna be an amazing player.

I was very impressed with Riera too btw.

As for Keane...when you are not on your game you need to make sure the effort is there, this is where he earns his pay.

The likes of Berbatov ( i'm not picking on him cos he is now a Utd player btw, it's just the way he is. ) would disappear when playing badly.

Overall it's an important win for us, if we'd have beaten Utd twice last season instead of losing we'd have been Champions...so maybe just this one result can bring us closer at the end of the season.

My prediction is for Chelsea to run away with it though

As shit as we were and as good as Liverpool were it was still two bad errors that put the goals on a plate, VDS flap onto brown and Giggs giving the ball away in his own box. I'd have to say I would have laughed my balls off if that didn't happen and we won it but it did. Babbel took it well.

The corner flap + the flap OG gave you confidence I think and helped turn the game. We didn't deserve it though anyway not playing like that. Sick of these slow starts.
