Seat SDI Help.....

Hey guys

I bought a Seat Ibiza 1.9 SDI off my mate last night for a silly price as a non-runner.

It attempts to turn over, Could it be a fuel pump failure? or electronic issue?

I've had the ecu checked and no faults there

Just pretty stumped what it could be

Any help/advice would be much appreciated

Could be anything!!!

Start with the basics...

Is there compression?
Is there fuel?
Are the injectors opening?

when you checked for codes did the reader communicate ok?

What do you mean by "attempst to turn over" it either does or does not turn over.
If I assue you mean it does turn over but not start, I would first look at the anti run on valve, if this is stuck/wiring damaged it will not be getting fuel flow, so won't start.
