Default Snow performance water injection good or ?

I am just asking because I find prices for an aquamist setup is quite high imo, and these 2 kits seems to do the job too.

Are these "mappable" on L8 or P8 ECUs. You can even select the nozzle sizes.

i have the stage 2 maf controlled kit on my jackon racing supercharged zetec mondy and it does help cool the intake charge. the jackson racing sc canot be intercooled due its design and the wmi kit helps out. i havent had my engine mapped for it at the moment but use it as a safety device against detonation. i bought the 7 quart reservoir and a solonid upgrade as i mounted the tank in the rear.
piece of cake to fit

Talked to Stu and will have water injection working apart from ECU as there is not enough room in it to cope with WI (already have lot of other features in it). So should I use a MAF controlled one or not ?

Got an other question : which nozzle sizes should I get ? There are 2 nozzles, and you can choose for each one the size :

- 100 ml/min
- 175 ml/min
- 225 ml/min
- 375 ml/min
- 625 ml/min

Thanks in advance !

another option would be. to get the cheaper non mappable aquamist system (or any non-mappable one)
and use your SECS monitor to drive it (im assuming you have one, most cossies do now i spose!)

tell the monotor what charge temp and boost pressure you want it to cut in at. and it does it all for you..so it is kinda a Semi-mappable system.

wonder how many cossie owners actually use that function of the secs, as most have probably forgotten what a cool little bit of kit simon/spence made there!

Bought a pectel monitor, but doubt the monitor can drive it, and don't want to get a secs monitor just for WI (would be useless, unless I put it for the co-driver, but I doubt he will look at it lol).

But yes, as you said, it is a nice feature for the SECS. However I'm not that much surprised not a lot of people are using it. Not really needed if you've got the RS500 intercooler, and it needs also some work to fit it. Usually those who would need WI due to their power, got the RS500 intercooler, so.

what intercooler are you using mate? standard one?

if so, is that due to tight laws in Switzerland?

I should be using the std one, but have got an escos water/air one with the small pipe for water injection on it. It will be ok with MOT, as they won't know it isn't the sapphire one, but the escort one. But I cannot put the RS500 one because they would notice it immediately and ask me to remove that if I want to have the car MOT passed.

if you are on a budget you could use the old ford motorsport method , ie 2 scorpio windscreen washer pumps , some pipe and a few non return valves etc etc, triggered by the secs monitor.

Well I am ready to spend the 450 USD or so for the kit from snow-performance, but don't know which one to choose between the 2 ones linked above. One is MAF controlled and the other not. Problem is that I don't want to buy the wrong one, heh

Morettes are ok as long as all the lights are working as OE and corrected setup.

But yes, they are quite annoying.
