and since when has a dizzy cap and rotor arm been classed as a service item?

Good price mate...as long as your happy with the service you recieved and have confidence in his workmanship then hopefully you will have found someone of whom you can trust for future servicing.
I make sure all my customers leave happy and they have always returned for more work at a later date Ive noticed word of mouth travels fast though...finished a VR6 rebuild last week in time for edition38 last weekend, now ive got VW people wanting stuff doing also

since they wear out so hence need to be serviced, no point imo to change the plugs but leave on the old dizzy cap and rotor arm esp when its less than £10 to replace them might aswell change the whole lot in one go

They have never been a service item...for as long as I can remember, and thats me going back to the days where I was doing 6k/6mnth servicing along with points and condensors every 1yr/12, which needed the cap removing to do

Find me a service schedule that states a milege/time interval that the dizzy cap and rotor are replaced at, insted of just making stuff up to upset someone who's pleased with the job they've just paid for.

I used to use Escort Cosworth PP8's and they used to cost around £38 for 4, maybe it was them.
