just failed mot on this can u free them up at all?? as a reconned one is £120! any help appreciated cheers Statey

depends on how bad its seized

whip it off at have a look.

take pads out; push pistons back with a suitable tool, push foot on brake pedal and see if they move back out; repeat & repeat again if need be.

Very common. www.camskill.co.uk do recons for 99 quid exhange. Don't waste your time trying to free it up, it will just start leaking and not work again, and you'll fail the MOT for not having brakes.

You can buy caliper overhaul kits and do them yourself if your handy with the spanners and have somewhere mega clean to work in.

Thats the things just about to go on holiday next week so if i can fix it with out replacing it then sweet! if not will have to wait till i get back

You could try spraying a bit of WD behind the dust seals, then work the caliper in and out. But it'll more than likely leak afterwards, or not work at all.
