" windows host service"
Keep getting this message saying windows host service has stopped working properly, probably on a daily basis
And now cant listen to any sounds, did a sound test via control panel and it works that way, but media player and any links wont work, its just silent.
any ideas? Oh and its on vista

Thats not what I was going to suggest

I did a complete system restore, which I interrupted half way through causing blue screen of death..... then sent it back to the factory as it was under a year old....
They replaced the hard drive and ram FOC. Then given me a fresh install of Vista (oh joy) and off I went problem free!!

Dont really wanna knacker it up i just wanna know why it keeps getting this host process thing?
create a file folder on your desktop "ie pc tools" ..save all the updates to the saved folder..create a system restore point..then install all the new updates to the lap top..if no JOY just restore back to your last update
just run the software and see what needs updates
