PS2 Modchip - Which one?
I fancy buying imported games well before they come out over here, is there anyone local to me (west midlands) that offer a fitting service.
Ive seen the Swap disk modchip and the one where no chip is needed but the front has to come off the drive
is it better to go for a hard wired one, if so which one?
Dont particularly want to take it to a high street shop

just buy yourself a 120BG hard drive.. HD advance a network adapter and if you want a flip top lid.. that way you will never have to buy another game again! there is no soldering required and you can play import/back-up games no problem!

the swapmagic disc can be used with a "slide tool" so you dont have to take apart anything... all it is is a plastic card thing with a hook that allows you to open the drive withoutpressing the button...
theyre about 30quid for the swapdisc and and the slidetool
www.swapmagic.com (i think thats right)

Its what i have installed with mine and if you decided to add a hard drive its the best chip to have.
No bother so far and has quite a few cool features that others dont have like forcing 60hz modes and enable you to install applications on the PS2 memory card like emulators and movie players.
