Who on earth would send an acid-filled battery by courier?? Highly irresponsible. Imagine if that had spilt in the van and gone all over someone's 50" Plasma or the poor driver for that matter.

Bet they will have a get-out in their terms that says they won't transport stuff like that, so there'll be no come-back.

who else would deliver it? royal mail works on the same basis, i checked there prohibited items, car battery was not in there, i clearly expalined what the item was and i was not advised at all about it.

the bottom is split, its clearly been thrown in the van without care at all!

the parcel arrived to me soaking wet, acid all over my drive, which washed away in the rain now.

There are some things that I just would not post.

Battery is one, Airbag unit is another etc.
