Maybe they always wanted a white one, but the best example they could find was in another colour, so they bought it and had it sprayed the colour they wanted. I always wanted a black one, but the right car became available, so I ended up with moonstone primer!
Or on the negative it could be dodgy, or was in a bad way and had work to rectify it.
The list could be endless - ask the seller, see if they seem genuine and have any evidence to back up what they say - photos, bills etc.
I wouldn't necessarily not buy especially if it was a good paint job, but I'd want to know exactly why it was done, and if I wasn't 110% convinced I'd walk away.

i bought a flint grey saph,it was solid and low miles,it needed a door and a vented bonnet, there were a few scratches and car park dings here and there,so a full respray was needed,i changed the colour to smokestone blue as its a lot nicer colour,my last 4x4 sierra cossie was mallard green, and my 1st 1 was white which i had resprayed imperial blue,if i was to have another it would be crystal blue one way or another.any cars destiny lies with who owns it and as long as everything adds up i wouldnt be bothered about a colour cange,as long as its not pink or yellow!
