Think your looking at about £2500/3000 for a 9" diff

ok,but then, seeing as its not a cosworth,do i require a 2wd cosworth rear beam?does that include the diff casing?and then there will be costs involved to convert the beam to fit the diff.how much?
does anyone do a zoo style rear beam with a jag diff?i understand zoo are basically no more!

its all just standard 2wd stuff mate, just use 2 long 2wd shafts, you will see i had a spacer machined on mine insted of using a long shaft on the N/S, cost is hugeley dependent on the ratio, not too sure what they go for these days i havent really beenpaying attention to prices of cos stuff recently, i paid £2350 for my freshly rebuilt 3.6 9" diff about 5 years ago...i do know i could sell it for more now though lol...but it now lives in my 3 door antique

8.8 is a live axle fitted to mustangs, so would be more work to fit, but LOT cheaper to buy, and LOT cheaper to fix.

Also will suit straight line stuff as the geometry wont go to shit when squatting.

Well TBH compared to the geometry a stock cossie beam gives when lowered plenty, it would give better geometry at all times.

Danny Bate's Megenta saph run 12's on a mustang rear beam, Stage 1 power too.

His car handled too good as far as I'm aware.

tbh IRS aint all that.
ive driven cars with solid rear axle that handle far better than cars with IRS
just after cost differences for 9 inch to compare with a mustang rear end,oh,and for BIG power!no point going 7.5 inch!

ok, c4 it is then.

will cost you about a grand for one that takes 1000bhp no bother, 3 speed, manual shift, and has a mentalist transbrake too.

only issue is they not overdrive, so top gear is 1:1, ie 4th in most cars.

so either you will be topping out at 150, or need a long rear diff ratio, which is pretty easy with a mustang rear end.

With all due respect, saying live axle cars handle better than IRS cars is automotive suicide

With all due respect, just because a car has a live axle certainly dont mean it doesnt handle as good as a car with semi trailing arms or whatever.

There a lot of great handling cars with live axles, and utter shite handling cars with more modern rear suspension.
