Default RX7's on screamer pipes - offensive

Ive just been out mapping an RX7 with a GT35R turbo and its on a screamer pipe.

Jesus christ, it sounds like the bloody exhaust has just fallen off when it starts making big boost.

Why anyone thinks these are a good idea is beyond me!

I like a bit of exhaust noise, but these things are just ridiculous!

I like them when they look standard, the looks of this one arent to my taste with the kit on it.

Nice car though, pleasant ride and handling etc.

Retarded thing to do, when it could it possibly be a good idea to not run a silencer? Nearly as clever as removing the baffles from your box - that'll make it nice to drive won't it...

I love the screamer on mine !! It's loud but doesn't sound like it's got no exhaust !!

Sod that !! Especially on an Rx7 !!

My pal had a white 500hp Rx7 which had a stooopidly loud exhaust & then a screamer on top of that, was silly loud !! It's the car next to me on the Santa pod vid where I get told off !! You can't rear my car os he's is so loud & I'm closer the camera !!

You wanna try one running a peripheral port engine, 5inch unsilenced pipe, GT47 turbo, a 2500rpm idle speed, AND a screamer.

A normal RX7 with a screamer is like a milkfloat compared to that, I had ringing ears for days after, and im used to noisy cars.

Based on how loud thing thing is on just a modest spec, I fully believe you!

What sort of power should he be expecting on this one at 1.3 bar of boost on a GT35?

Its mapped very safe, so it will be less than the optimum possible, but it would be nice to know what ballpark it should be in?
He reckoned just over 400 is reasonable, does that sound realistic?

Im not convinced it felt that quick TBH, but it was so noisey it was hard to concentrate on how quick it was going, lol

Whats worse is it's the same fooking design on every fucking car going.

And it's possible to buy a kit that makes your car look really good!! So why on earth do people buy Veilside kits

my mates was mapped by the guy that did the dragon i *think* he said and is not fat off 450 brake at the wheels acording to the dude mapping it. Hes now got an Original OZ touring car style exhaust on the car to shut it up a bit. cant remember if its bridge ported of if hes swapped it over but even that made and insane difference to the noise

There tons of nice kits, Veilside is the only shit one, as its miles out of date.

Didnt think anyone bought them anymore, as they shite.

Thats pretty much why Veilside went out of business a few years ago.

Stav, what sort of power do these engines typically make at about 1.3 bar on a GT35 mate?

Is the 400 or so he is expecting realistic?

not a fan of screamer pipes. they are ok for about 2 minutes and then become too much.
