Default FAO Fiesta ST Owners - water pump failure

Hi all

just wondering if this is a common occurence on this model?
My mum's is an 05 plate with 20'000 miles and is not long out of warranty unfortunately

Is it worth asking for goodwill from Ford, as we did this on occassion when i worked at VW

Write a letter to customer services , i work for bmw & if we get this kind of problem that no goodwill is given a letter to sustomer services usually does the trick.Even if you get the parts paid & you pay the labour

Cheers guys
Have heard that it may be a recall issue??

I will chase it up for my mum
She has been a good customer for Polar Ford, having had 3 cars off them and all servicing and repairs done there in the last 10 years. Hopefully they will take this into consideration.. otherwise my dads on leave at the moment, am sure he'll go in and have a few words

Kick a fuss m8 IF it should have been recalled by them.
I've had MAJOR problems with the common rail diesel injection system of my Mondeo and it was 2 months out of warranty.
Threatened with legal action etc... and in the end Ford agreed to pay for everything as they bloody well KNEW that they were in the wrong!!!

Yes, my Fiesta ST suffered a water pump failure... was under warranty so after a lot of mucking about getting it booked in I got it replaced for free.

Good luck with getting it sorted.
