i had 2 saph 4x4s before getting a hold of my 3 door nearly 3 years ago,i always wanted a 3-door but loved saphs as much

anyway ive went through the roof money wise on the 3-door and sometimes wonder why,as both my saphs were good useable stage 3`s and my mrs really liked my last saph and hates my 3-door so much she wont go in it

judging by old pics my old car was ok,

 

so just aswell ive bought this as a long term project

 

both models have their god points

 

i am thinking of going the other way only ever had my 2wd sapp now thinking of getting 3 door !but keep getting told to keep the 2wd sapp as they drive the best out of all the cossies

There's no question though that the 3 door looks better. A part of me would quite like a fast as fuck but not too bufty saph though.

 

cause its got a really loud exhaust and she gets embaresed at all the thumbs up,and kids recording the car on their fones

Where do you get the base model lights from, can you get them new still?

for me the 3dr is the best ,i had plenty sapphires even had a f plate moonstone one when it was a year old but always craved a moonstone rs500.theres just some thing about them

 

I had a Saff, was a money pit and I just never really got into it.

I'd love a 3 door though, would be a totally different situation. If I can ever afford one with a wife and baby consuming salary like nothing else I will have one on the drive... Even if it's just to look at

Always wanted a 3dr but know if i got one would end up polishing it and not using it which would be a shame, still the best looking cosworth.

My gf has a 4x4 saff and i have a 3 door, she gets just as many thumbs up as i do, saffs are wicked cars if you get a nice one

a prefer 3 doors to saffs masel tho , having had 3 saffs a dont think there anything special but will probably still end up with another one day and never had a 3 door so thats got priority as they are they a real headturner like u say , but just think there are far to many over priced bad examples of 3 doors out there at the moment that are sending the prices stupid .

 

i've had my saff 11 years now
when i first looked at cossies was looking 4 a moonstone 3dr,had a look at both a decided with the saff
if sold the saff i would fancy a 3dr,think escort cossie nice but bit expensive

i had a 2wd magenta saff a few years ago,loved it,really regret getting rid of it,got a lovely moonstone 3 door now but cant get saffs out of my head and am seriously thinking of going back

i do prefer having the 3-door over my old saphs but,i just really liked the saph too hence buying the white one

carlo i bought it off a 70+year old couple who had it 15 years,and its completly standard even a recipt for the ford exhaust

the engine has never been out the car and now needs a bottom end rebuild thats why i bought it,hence i got it cheap,but cant afford to do anything with it just now,just something to forget about for the time being
