Default engine storage help

Just want abit of advice please, I have a rebuild s2 engine that ive taken out and put in my garage as a spare... what would you reccomend I do to keep it fresh and seize free wilst stood.

keep it up wrght and off the groung you dont want any damp to get in there. depending on how long you are storing it. if for a long time fill the engine to the brim with oil. it will stop the cam ect ect from getting surface rust.

rember to drain it out b4 u start it tho take the plugs out and tern it over as well lol hope this helps

cheers for that, was wondering if I should fill each piston with oil to stop them rusting?

As Clarke say, also cover the ports etc on head, inlet, turbo etc. A lil spoon full of oil down the bores wont hurt, put the plugs back in & copper slip the threads.

You might find the oil will eventually fall past the rings tho.

sound advice thanks, dont know how long it will be till I use it, its not long been rebuilt, didnt want the thing seizing up on me.
