I had over 100 producers in a year in an astra GTE once, but TBH I think my driving was more to blame than the car.
These days it would just be endless points and bans rather than continual friendly warnings, coppers in somerset used to be a LOT more tolerant back then.

in my old 1300 escort i got pulled ALL the time, 9 time one week,, though again that was down to the plate
got bad though as i got in trouble at work for being late with the old " got pulled by feds" excuse
these days they have to give you a form if they pull you for proof,,, but you dont get pulled as much these days,, got pulled twice in the cossie and only been tugged once in the scoobie
ive YET to pass a checkpoint they do to test cars,, in my escort i got pulled once and had to go left to be done , tryed to do me for a bald tyre that wasnt baled too,, even when i showed them the tyre gauge as they LOOKED at it and said " its bald" anyway it was a one way system of roads in ladbrooke grove so went round in a circle,,,THE CUNTS PULLED ME AGAIN,,, couldnt belive it as i was just drove round the corner,, and they claim its random

My RD 125LC when i was 17.
Seemed like once a week i was pulled over. Even crashed once being pulled over. I looked back over my shoulder to see if the flashing blues were to pull me over. The car in front slammed on the brakes to let the flashing blues overtake and i hit the back of it.
Luckily car must have been un insured or driver pissed as he then buggered off sharpish before the copper could speak to him.

In the end I wrote a letter of complain to the local police super, stating that the "routine checks" I was being stopped for were becoming a little too routine.
He replied saying that they would keep a copy of my documents behind the counter at the police station so that if I got stopped I could just tell them to radio through to check I was insured etc.
This was long before MID etc of course!

I got fed a similar line, I pointed out that the police were supposed to carry out their job "without prejudice" and I was then told it was because the sort of parts on my car like Alloy wheels were commonly stolen so his officers were no doubt motivated by that not just picking on me, I pointed out they have NEVER even asked me about the wheels, so obviously arent very good at their jobs, and it was at this point I got offered to have my docs kept in the nick.

Ive found when you get stopped the same day, most coppers will accept a producer instead of your docs, as they know you have to go and hand them in anyway, but sadly NOT all will do so.

fuck me the coppers round your way must write quickly, every time I get stopped and get a HORT1 it takes at least 25 mins

mine was my old green convertible in my sig.had it registered in my mums name. when i got pulled one night i was told the car and been reported as doing burn outs in macdonalds car park and speeding away from traffic lights.(the good old days lol)
my reply was ' yeah i thort my mum had been out in it earlier cos the petrol tank was nearly empty ' luckily my quik witted response made the traffic cop laugh and he let me go and said calm it down.

I then got pulled over in the next town and then the next village , then driving through the next village on, a beat bobby waved and smiled as I went past - and no, I hadn't done ANYTHING wrong.

when i used to get pulled i always got given the line of " we have had reports of a car fitting this discription " then add some sort of line
when i picked the impreza up from the pound the bloke there said " traffic tend to use any excuse to nick people in these cars,,,, just cause they KNOW you have done something but just dont know what it is "
fair comment as i did once speed in my car,,,, i think pmsl

Got pulled so much for this plate, probably 10 times anyway and after I knocked past the Ł150 mark in fines... I gave in and went back to a normal size plate.
Cheers,

used to always get pulled over in my first escort, mainly because i had tints
got escorted out of stratford upon avon in it aswell lol, becuase my mate had an argument with teh coper becuase she said he never had a seatlbelt on when he clearly did
and once in my recent car, followed me ona dual carriageway in a van, almost smacked into the back of me they wer ethat close when i had to stop for an island, they then tried to ban me and kept sipping up lol, they said i was doig in excess of 90-100mpg and they had to do 90 to catch me up within half a mile of road
i turned to them then and said if i was speeding at your claimed speed do you think you would of caught up if both cars were doing 90mph, didnt go down too well but he knew he fukt up and let me off with averble, after i asked for all the badge numbers for threatening behavouir towards me aswell

I used to get pulled daily in my first car (mk2 cavalier sri,i was 17 at the time). Coppers said i was a high priority because the car was always 4 up with young lads/lasses, and the very outer edges of my tyres were worn,so i must of been driving fast!
This lasted for a month, then i blew the box up so was off the road for a while.

They were pretty good to be honest (compared to these days anyway) I hardly ever used to get pulled in Taunton when i was younger despite driving like a bit of a twat at times Wellington was a different matter though. I used to get pulled most weeks when i was 19 and had just bought a cavalier gsi. It was always the same copper though, i think it might of had something to do with the fact that i knocked his sons front teeth out when i was at school and a game of football got a bit heated
