Default Help, Virus!!!!!

Guys i am sure i have gone and downlaoded a virus!

I am running norton and it said that i had a trojan but now it seems to been made "secure" on the norton 360 window, but its opening explorer windows by itself and when i type it seems to be missing some of the letters????? I cant figure that one out.....whatspyware or other programs that are free would be best to try and sort this out?

Any help would be appreciated as i dont like checking bank details etc while its like this? Theres def something weird going on?

First things first. Try a simple system restore (START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > SYSTEM TOOLS > System Restore) back to yesterday or before you go this problem. This often solves the problem.

Next, remove Norton. It's honestly fucking shit, never does what you need it to, and slows the PC down as it's a complete resource whore. Bin it and download AVG Free from Grisoft - http://free.avg.com/ww.download-avg-...s-free-edition

Run a scan with that, quarantine and remove everything it finds.

Next, install and scan with Ad Aware from Lavasoft - http://lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

Next, install and scan with Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

All the above programs are open source freeware and as such are free. And they all work!

If you do decide to remove norton, use their special removal tool.

http://service1.symantec.com/Support...05033108162039

As its so unbelievably shite it doesnt even uninstall itself properly, and can trash your tcpip.

ALso mate, do you have a wireless keyboard? If so, when my batteries start getting flat, it starts missing keys and generally starts fucking up if you have one that is.

try using superantispywarepro instead of adaware.

superantispyware will stop shit from coming onto your machine i believe adaware only removes it once its got on!

Comodo Pro or Outpost Pro are worth considering
