Default My new little run around

Picked it up cheap, as i've now broken my saff though it might be a laugh.

what do you think?

351 5.8 V8, 200hp nos kit, cage, quaife diff, coilovers, and 4pot brakes.
Apparently done a quarter @ the pod in high 11's.
cost me £1k.

This came up cheap and it has coilovers, brakes, quaife diff all needed for an escort and lots more stuff on it to sell on or put back together and sell as a whole car whatever I decide.

Ok so , just out of interest (as the engine and box are not in it atm) I now know that a cossie rad and rs500 cooler fit perfect and so will a yb and t5 box.

This could end up in the project and resto section.

Quality, I saw an old Quattro yesterday and was thinking to myself how one of these days I'm going to turn up back at the house with some old car and a few quid lighter. You've gone and done it, although there seems to be more of a plan with yours

FPMSL...

Are you serious when you say, you will drive that on the road..? No disrespect, but look at it

yes a bargain for 1k, if you planned on breaking it..

Not meant in a nasty way at all.. but that thing will turn heads... for all the bad reasons!

Capris are horrid, but thats v.cheap for the cash.

Why in fucking gods name would you pull out a 351 windsor to put in a fucking YB?

A turbo'd 351 on stock internals will do more than a YB will with tens of thousands of pounds spend on it

The v8 is not currently in there, and it weights about 6 times more than london so unless I wanted to just do quarters in it, which I dont I would put a yb in there so it can go round corners.

Westy,
Yes mate I would drive it round if thats what I felt like, because it would be my car and if I like it who gives a flying fuck what anyone else thinks.
I'm not trying to impress anyone else, if its fun for me then why not.

But thats no matter now , as I have a guy viewing it in an hour so it may go.

A 351 weighs 240kg, and about 205kg with alloy heads fitted. Not heavy really, not much different to an LS engine that everyone wanks over, and is fitted to tons of perfectly well handling track cars.

YB's are not light, cant see it being miles less. Anyone know?

200 ish IIRC but obviously going to vary depending on 200 block or 205 block, and which manifold etc.
