Default any ideas????

Took my car out today, just fitted a new clucth and the 1st time i give it some real stick it was as if it stayed on ??

I could get all the gears in the box but no drive afther sitting at the side of the road for a hour waiting for my mate to come back i tryed it again, But still no joy then put my foot right down and let the pedal bang back up and it was fine???

any one?

is your clutch cable routed correctly?sounds like it getting fried by the turbo?

its the right side of the heat sheild was as if the pressure plate stayed in down how ever you want to put it?

i could still press the pedal easy down and come back up on its own

i had similar on my old cossy and it was the cable getting hot. sticking in the sleeve.

yeah it is and missed a gear so maybe 7.8

Its due to the high revs.

Mine does it to if I go for a quick change at 8k

Fit an AP cover and it should cure it.

your joking and i was told to get a alcon think i hit the limiter the gear before

do you known was it is then ie the presure plate twists? or stays in?

Its to do with the cover I think? but dont quote me on it mate.

The Alcon feels ten times better than the AP thats why I run one.

My Alcon has also lasted for years so no need to change it but when I do i will fit another one but with the AP cover and pressure plate.

Just go a wee bit slower when changing gear and it should be ok.

tryed this also, was launching @ 7900 rpm when it stuck.
Had to use force to get it off.
It´s stuck on the flywheel and mine is a 4 plate sachs and an uprated ap pressure plate

Yeah mines does something the same.

ok thanks for your help must be the same prob as you knew it was a alcon

if i do find any thing out thats not on this post i will pm ya to let you know

how do you get it to work again ? do you have to let it cool down or do some thing to the pedal?

use force as what did you do was your pedal down then?

Mines springs back up a few secs after the revs drop and I have learned to drive around the problem thats why its never bothered me plus it keeps your clutch cable adusted properly as thats how your suppose to take up any slack in the cable.

Let me know what you find out

i had no drive at all but could put it in any gear as if the clutch was down all the time

only come back when i side steped the clutch pedal so it banged back up fast ?
