it goes a bit quicker and it has a higher risk of reliability issues due to dual vanos (which the non evo doesnt have)

im in the process of stripping one for a mate (a rich one) and turning it into a track car, as it stands with all the standard parts fitted it is fairly quick motor, so once all the interior is stripped and uprated stuff is fitted then i think it should be quite a weapon

I had an early 96' Evo in Estoril Blue, 42k, full Beemer history, sexy staggered 'Sunflower' rims and lovely cloth M-Sport cloth trim and rate them higly. Like a few people have said listen for the clicking of the Vanos unit (although, that said, they can go at any time so it's luck of the draw) and steer clear of those wafty boxes and they're pretty bulletproof. Here's a pic of my old one to wet you appetite.

Regards

James

there great cars, they seem to launch off the lights better than a scooby sti pmsl

who ever says they feel quick has NEVER been out in anything quicker than a transit connect or is just talking shite as they DONT feel quick,,,,,, even though they are quick if that makes sence

motorways are a PROPER dream with these cars though,,,,,, just perfect and a great car to drive just dont have that acceleration kick that makes it a childish fun car imo

i would say id have one but im lying as when i was looking for one it wasnt what i wanted and so bought a chavs car
