Default hi

Hi,

I believe a company call 'Hondata' do an ECU remap for the type R.... tunners such as TDI offer loads of upgrades for the type r, cams , remaps , even superchargers .
(Never used them though so i'm not sure how good their work is)

Hope that helps
Peter

Yes they can be chipped, but honda didnt exactly get the data wrong in the first place, so gains will be minimal like with most modern N/A cars.

The hondata system is very good & uses the stock ecu.

As said gains will not be huge but there are gains to be had mainly in cam positions and getting it to work with any modds made..

i have done loads of these with some impressive results !!

hope this helps

Your mates talking bollox, 1 you cant map a standard itr ecu and they cant be socketed so cant be altered from standard at all. The older odb1 ecu's can be socketed or instaled with hondata hardware and the mapped using hondata or chrome etc, 2 mine will onle be about 210 with 4-2-1, exhaust, mugen airbox, stage2 cams and compression raised slightly.

If he's talking about a DC5 Integra Type-R then I dont think 250-260bhp is out of the question with basic Stage 1 mods.

Cheers,
Grant

Foriced induction quite cheaply, if you are talking N/A you need to be thinking about a secondhand engine out of one of theses!

Its exactly that, a dc5 ITR and comes with 240bhp standard
hes had the head modded, different manifold and few extra trick bits totalling 4k or so just on the engine- with the chip trust me it will be 260bhp+ easy
it doesn't sound like its a hondata one hes getting though- its not just an OBD plug in its a complete overhaul on the honda ecu to open up every option available that honda don't want you to have access too along with a live remap and setup- i'll try and get him to come to santa pod on the 16th

hondata is the way to go we had a ctr in a few weeks ago with an exhaust, filter, manifold and k-pro, a bit of tweaking and lowering of the vtec point it was making 25-30 bhp more
we supercharge them aswell 280-500+bhp
