Thats the closest Premier Travel Inn - Oulton Parks website lists some very near hotels - but they all look posh as fuck.

And i'm sure they wouldn't want people charging through the corridors at night trying to wedgy the ginger welsh tail toucher.

So far so good - gave it death to the limiter in most gears yesterday - need to do a map check run before Oulton - the head freshen up has caused a few lean spots in the map.

Got tuesday off work to do all the final bits and bobs, brakes, fluids etc. etc.

....oh & whilst that all might look all good & well - I have an added problem that may put a stop to my fun & games - took the car for a test drive up the road today & well I had a wobble - severe wobble - in fact I thought the wheel was going to fall off!!! Turns out somehow the drivers side driveshaft is fooked!!! I have a spare but the gaitor is goosed on it so I'll take it to a driveshaft place tomorrow & hope they can sort it same day for me!!!

Always bloody something!!!

 

well remember to bring spairs on wed im sure there a few of us that will be fixing things so we will lend a hand

also of the one thats goosed has a good boot just strip it down & put the good boot on your other shaft then put the goosed one in for repair

 

Yeh - I've taken the fooked one off - I've never actually changed a boot before - will just take it into a driveshaft place near mine for them to do it! LOL! Dont worry mate I always bring the spares I keep - used to things breaking!!!

 

im sure the use a simple tripod end on the inner joint just take the boot clip off & the pot comes off then its just a cir-clip to remove the tripod bit then you can swap both boots refit the tripod & put the pot back on really not that bad to do

that's how the newer ones are any way never had the joy ow working on a 21-25 when i was at Renault

9am I was at the driveshaft place this morning, left it with them, came back an hour later and it was all done - brand new gaitor & only charged me a tenner!! Top bloke!!! Plus hes going to do my custom driveshaft for me for my Renworth!!!

Fitting it this afternoon - fingers crossed!
