Angry rsoc anoraks

Im a member of the north london passion ford division run by Alexis, we had 14 cars all genuine rs models booked for the rs national day stand, and hav been told that the only cars allowed on the stand hav to be registerd with the rsoc. I know he floats between essex rsoc and pf norh london so not sure what we were down as, but due to them 9 of the 14 will not be on the stand. very stupid if you ask me!! and a loss of money for them. Im not going to pay £30 a year for a window sticker and a mag every few months just so i can say im in the club. Ive had my moan!!

Why should people who are not members of the RSOC get onto a stand ahead of people who are fully paid up members of the RSOC at their own Nat Day???Rules seems simple enough, members get priority over non-members.Regards,Micky

He txt me tonight to say that id get full refund and that he tried his best but out of his hands, Ispoke to him at ace cafe last month and he was telling me that he had been argueing over this matter and they were threatening him with voteing him out of the chairmans place for the essex branch! What a bunch of losers, i mean come on at the end of the day we only want to show our cars to get appreciation from other enthusiastes and have a good time at the shows, the more cars there are the more entertaining it is for the people who go and more money for the rsoc.. its realy not rocket science

Your right to a point yes, but the issue isnt over places of priority because we have been allocated the stand! so it will just look silly wiyh a hand full of cars in a big empty space, they could charge non members a little more that would be fair, if they carry on with that attitude there wont be a national day in a few years as rs cars are getting more and more rare by the day and not all the owners are members

here we go again !!

48 rs clubs have booked on to national day

it for local groups who are rsoc members !!

simple

probably why its called rsoc national day

and there are more cars this year than in 2006 !l

and you are not allocated a space until the form is filled in and sent back, do not blame the rsoc cos half your group are not members

I am slightly confused by this post, but then it doesn't take a lot..... if you are saying that you tried to book onto an RSOC branch stand and are not being allowed because you are not an RSOC member, then I can see the sense in this as your vehicle would not be covered under their public liability (which all car clubs are supposed to have these days).

However, if you are saying that you booked a stand under the Passionford banner and are not being allowed in because you are not an RSOC member... then that's not right.

Yes but turn the tables..... The Fiesta Club of Great Britain states in its next advertisement for Fiesta in the Park, that all Fiestas attending the show, must be fully paid up membes of FCGG!???

I know I wouldn't go for it, I pay my membership to XROC, well I would if I wasn't a Secretary, and that's where the buck stops.....

If so many Passion Ford users are not members of The RSOC and have no intention of ever renewing or becoming a paid up member then why does it rile so many on here what The RSOC is or is not doing ?

Why would you want to go to a clubs National Day that you are not even a member of anyway ?

I am not a member of an Evo/BMW/Subaru owners club etc so I do not go on about decisions their committee/leaders make so why gripe about the RSOC on here ? - go onto The RSOC website and complain on there !

Surely if any on here are RS Owners then join The RS Owners Club - pay your money and show your car at National Day or is that being to simplistic ?

Good points there RS2000CUSTOM,but unfortunately we have people who are not RSOC members complaining because they cant show their cars on a stand at the RSOC National Day!!Here's an idea for these people.........become a member of the RSOC and you can show youre RS on a stand at the show!!!Simple way of doing it I would have thought!!

And how do these non RSOC members think the money comes from to help organise/support all the regional RS shows that happen across the country during the year, from thin air????They pay nothing, yet expect to get on a stand to show their motors!!!!!!Any chance MAN UTD Football Club would sell me tickets to their home games ahead of the season ticket holders?????NO,I did'nt think so either!!!!Regards,Micky

I really cant see the problem with it either TBH.

Its an RSOC show, for RSOC members to show their cars.

What about that is complicated or unfair?

So does that mean that people on here really think that RSOC National Day should be for RSOC members only...... its a money spinner for them..... but only if they let people in through the gates who aren't members of the RSOC too!!!

If they want an exclusive show, they shouldn't advertise it to the general public..... should keep the location and dates a secret, letting members only through the gates..... and let's just imagine what sort of a loss they would make there....

Nope, you've got the wrong end of the stick. The show is open to anyone to pay at the gate and enjoy the sights and sounds of the show. However,if youre not a member of the RSOC you cannot display youre car in the show, simply.Regards,Micky

Visiting car clubs are allowed, but non RS models only as i understand it, if you have an RS model there is plenty of room on either your regional group stand or dedicated model stand for RS members , no RS member need not attend there is room for all as there is room for visiting car clubs with non RS models. HTH.

I can understand having an RSOC show for RSOC members, but allowing non-RSOC clubs to partake but not allowing RS cars without paying extra money to the RSOC is extortion.

RS Cars do not have to pay extra money to the RSOC, if you have an RS car & are a member you are welcme to park inside Donnington on a club stand, if you have an RS & are not a member you can park out side if you wish ( risky , imo would not park an RS outside) or come in a daily runner etc, you are more than welcome to attend, If you are not a member you should not get members privilages, imo.

it worked the other way a few years back though.i couldnt display my car at nat day due to the chair person at the time having her mates on the stand who werent rsoc members! so why should i be excluded from showing my car in my region when i pay a membership?

fucked me off,so i went with pf when they were allowed stands.

What? I think you misunderstood me. So it's okay to take an XR2 and have it on a stand but not an rs turbo, unless you pay money to the RSOC (EG MEMBERSHIP).. How is that fair?

Easy explanation.

Its RS Owners Club show - so if your in the RS owners club you can show your RS.

Visiting Car clubs can show there cars.

So XR2 would be on the XR owners club stand...

Makes perfect sense to me....

Passionford is a web site and is not a recognised club is it... ?

I dont understand what all the fuss is about,if rs owners hate the rs owners club etc,why would they even want to go to national day?

I can't see where the problem is either!

Just looks like people who don't want to support the club through membership, etc, just trying to parachute into the show!

we are talking about the rsoc local group area here

its simple all the groups from across the country have their rs cars put togehter on the melbourne loop

thats rsoc members and genuine rs vehicles only ( been this way for years and years )

essex group sent a form in and most of them were not members, its no good being a passion ford london member and expecting to go on to the essex rsoc stand, they are two different things

there are visiting car clubs also in a different area

ie, capri club, xroc, evoclub, fiesta club in total over 300 cars !

i dont understand how people on here cant grasp it !
