really want my engine bay to look like that

100k+ miles and it looks well minging needs a bit more than a bit of engine cleaner sprayed on tho

also the paintwork on mine is bad, starting to rust in places and polished back to primer in others so will never get it like that

shame

I paid 150 quid to get my car detailed properly.
Worth every penny if you want your car to look its best!

To those that think its not worth it, or doesnt make any difference, this half and half pic of my bonnet says it all

[Quote] When the car was LSP ready then I had to decide on what product to use. The choice was a simple one for me – Zymöl Royale Estate Glaze (this has recently gone up in price and now retails at £8118!!).

£8118 ffs.

Thats another reason why detailing can be exspensive.................... cos they spend more time masking off a straight line and taking piccies and doubling the time it actually takes to complete a car lol

Thats Neil Fryer's (Topaz) old RS500 in the background, only done 40,000 iirc.

That guy has got major OCD, runs his own detailing company called Off Your Marks in Cheshire. Work is outstanding. Even Ferrari in Wimslow asked him to detail the F430 Scuderia launch car they had, so must be doing something right.

RW, looks like you missed your true vocation in life . Compared to Stevie, the OYM guy is just "playing" at OCD .
