If You Could Relive One Year Of Your Life, Which One...
#43
2006 for the simply good times, I'd changed a few things about me and what I was after and mix in a couple of bits from the last two years.
2008, this year has gone so fast and had loads of ups and downs. I want to relive the ups and take the downs differently and take the oppotunities I didn't take.
Life is too short to regret things though, concentrate on the present and enjoy it.

Hmmm, I will take from October 2005- October 2006. Went to the USA for 6 weeks and got my pilots licence, and went out on the beer loads, was in daytona so saw daytona biketoberfest ( Mental!), the turkey run ( all the modded cars come out to play the night before thanks giving, 800BHP is a sort of Stg 1 for most of them ). Then went to the Falklands (I'm in the RAF) for 6 months, which weirdly was an absolute blast, Radders will fill you in on the amount of drinking and general debauchary that goes on, only bad point is being 8000 miles away from home. Then had a week in Brazil (Rio) , staying in a huge hotel in a beachfront room, all on the taxpayer (RAF again. I was gutted when our Plane broke. Not ) . Spent over Ł1000 in 7 days on top of the extra cash we are given ..... Came home June, and had 3 months off work, so watched the world cup and spent lots of time wil loads of mates on the piss. Bought my Escos on the 1st of July, and spend most of it tooling around in the hottest car known to man (Black car, black leather, aircon broken!) in the middle of the 2006 heatwave ... Then went back to work for a week, then had another week off to go on a Gliding course paid for by the RAF. On the Friday the course finished, drove back home, got changed and went out to meet some friends, and after a great night ended up getting together with a Girl who i had liked for a long time, still with her almost 2 years later .... Sadly there are always a few downers in each year, the 2 things I would change from that year are my Gran having a stroke that has left her quite bad, and My dad being Diagnosed with Cancer .... Unfortunatly that is life, the highs tend to balance the lows, but you only get one go so enjoy each and every second

I wouldn't want to re-live a whole year of my life. But i would give anything to go back in time and see my dad again. Too many great memories with him to choose just one but i would settle for any of them!! RIP Dad, your legacy lives on
I would also love to live my whole wedding day again from start to finish, it was the best day of my life...period!!

2005.
Worst year of my life so far. Would do several things massively differently!
Like most people, Ive made bad decisions in life. But realistically all I'd change would be the way I handled them. Wouldnt change the actual outcome (does that make any sense at all LOL)

Mine would be the last time I saw my dad, Id change that
Best time? When my lad Aiden was born, was proper exhillerating and euphoric, he's nearly 12 now - where has the time gone?
If I could live my life over, I'd deffo do things different!

In future i'd like to repeat this year (touch wood). Its been great so far. Aced my uni exams and got into my Masters course. Started a summer placement, found its the job for me - going to Belgium soon on business. Got a new car and been to more car events than ever this year. Things with the mrs are better than ever. Been to Alton Towers, Dublin, and will be going to London and abroad this month.
Life is great!

2001, I wouldn't of joined the RAF. I don't regret joining as I had a fucking good time while in, but the last two years of my service I was down, and it changed me as a person, Which still effects me. I'm not the person I was in 2005. I wouldn't have the debt I have now If I never joined either.
But saying that, If I never joined, I wouldn't of met Greig.. Which is why i'm on PF, So I wouldn't of met half the people I have to this day.
But fuck it, can't changed whats happened.
Indeed, I had a good 4 months away, again it changed me as a person, but I'm not sure if its a good or bad thing.

I'd go for 2002 - i'd left school, started working, started driving...
Had my own car, my own money, no debt - life was good - times were happy - mates were young, free and single...
I miss those times

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
id say 05 for me as i simply didnt know what i do now,and didnt know what i had till she had gone.and 2 very close family relations who died shortly after were in good health up to this point.
i guess spending more time wth them as i didnt realise how prescious it was and ultimetly not letting go of the love of my life.
