Latest details of Fighting Torque & a its special on the day Tyre price offer

All is set for Fighting Torque 2008
It is getting close once again to the time when the talking stops and the torque takes over. It really is great to see so many of you returning for FT Round 2 and thanks for all the extremely positive comments and feedback we received in the FT Office. We appear to have a much more variety of cars represented too. We even have an Irish contingent.
Thanks to enthusiastic support from Toyo Tires and Competition Car Insurance we can now announce that this years Fighting Torque is destined to hit the screens as well as the worldwide press.
The event will be recorded by no less than 4 broadcast quality cameras. Making post event TV coverage or DVD production a very real possibility. If this makes you think about going out and buying a white racing outfit with blacked out visor. Then forget it! because cameras from the FIFTH GEAR website will also be in attendance. I guess you would not get much coverage dressed like that.
The mile and 1/4 mile distances are certainly runaway winners in the FT website poll. Thats what we will be providing with a couple of other times or speeds thrown in for good measure.
We plan a couple of feature races and additional challenges too. Rumour has it that Javelin Trackdays have a car that steers in the opposite direction to what it should.
If you have not yet returned your invitation or are interested in entering we will be pleased to hear from you. This is your chance to make the torque talk.

As well as being supporters of Fighting Torque since virtually day one
and donating the prizes for this years event once again TOYO TIRES have joined forces with one of their Motorsport Distributors to bring you a great deal. Simply Tyres will be attending Fighting Torque and offering advice and support to competitors PLUS in association with Toyo up to £80 off a set of TOYO TIRES collected at the event. This offer applies to drivers and supporters too.

Competition Car Insurance
Well known and respected insurance brokers Competition Car Insurance have now become an official sponsor of Fighting Torque. Paul Harris of CCI explained that "CCI is one of the few insurance companies around that understand how many drivers of fast road and modified cars want to "drive" them hard but not in a full blown competitive environment. We recognise that Fighting Torque and Javelin Trackdays have well organised arenas in which to do this and we are here tohelp entrants enjoy such events with a bit more peace of mind."
Competition Car Insurance, part of the Towergate Group, offer bespoke packages for both road, trackday and event cover.

This year we are able to be a bit more laid back about the number of supporters and spectators that we can allow in to watch the fun as we do not have to pass through the tight military checkpoints to gain access to the airfield.
All persons attending must purchase a Supporter Pass and have some form of ID in case they are challenged by the venue security force. Supporter / Spectator passes are available HERE.
Children under the age of 16 will be allowed in free but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Remember Supporters are eligible to enter the Mazda Challenge and for the TOYO tyre offer.
