Hey all,

Who can tell me if SPECS cameras can actually see and take an image of the car and the driver? It was at 2am, but i guess they would use infrared or something...

I've got a bit of an issue and might need to pass the point to someone else but at the bottom of the letter it says the stuff about perverting the course of justice.... blah blah....

Just wondering if anyone else has been done by them and if they managed to say someone else was driving and got away with it?

Specs measure an average using your number plate don't they ? No picture of the driver or car as far as I know.

you would be alright though they can never see your face you cant see over the steering wheel

They work in every condition except extremes of weather, heavy rain, thick fog, heavy snow etc
They take a picture of the car, driver and plate.

best bet would be to say you wern't sure if it was you or the other persons driving and a picture would help. If they got a photo i think they will show you as they know one of you is going to admit it so they just want the cash.

So it would be best to ask for photographic evidence before admitting anything?

Or could one driver admit it and if they say "no we've got a picture showing otherwise" then say "opps sorry I must have driven that stint afterall...." ??
