Default which tomtom for about £100-150ish

advice needed please.
all these tomtom models are driving me nuts.

i used tomtom on my pda (uk and western europe) and was well impressed with it,since pda broke and i lost my tomtom disc i thought i better get a dedicated sat nav.

anyone any good comments of any in this price range

I would go for a tomtom one, if you don't need europe the V3 is on ebuyer for £89.99 delivered,

tomtom v3 = uk and ireland street level mapping, points of interest, some camera -£114.99
tomtom v3 explore = same as above except you get a case
£104.99

but look at garmins, they are better, better software, quicker satelite pick up, and, unlike tomtom, you can get away woth not having to update then all the bloody time ( they are also a much larger company

garmins/ never thought about them,easy to use.
best one to go for?

I sell Sat Navs for a living. Wouldnt touch Garmin with a 89ft barge pole.

I see the ones that come back in comparison to the ones we sell

Tom Tom currently hold around 70% of the market for good reason

Tom Tom V3 Explore is a very very good unit for the money.
