the speaker output cuts into the feed to the speakers from the stereo, its an extra connector block. if the only output on your stereo are RCAs this means it wont do anytihng.
i don't see why it wouldnt be possible to custom wire it into the feed from the amp to the speakers instead? but then i don't do this for a living.
OR you can fit a standalone speaker but these are shit

Jim is correct, you can alter the wires to go to the other side of the amp! Obviously you may have issues with a sub etc.. (unless ya mate is barry white calling!!!!!)

Dont connect it to amplified speaker connections. I tried exactly this and it did WIERD stuff, radio turning off when a call came in, major buzzing, etc.
Will only work if you have normal factory speakers.
In the end, I went to the pound shop, got a pair of stereo speakers, took em apart, replaced the speaker wire and mounted them accordingly.
The audio from them is perfectly adequate!
