just broke my laptop sceen putting a line across the screen ! any idear what im looking at 2 get it replaced! and any idears a cheep place i can get it sorted?

i fucked my screen on a Dell Inspiron. it would have cost £200 for a new screen, claimed o n house insurance and got a new laptop altogether for £50 excess

 

doh not rearly an option as im staying with mates at the moment (homeless lol)

tft screens are between £90-100 on ebay. you may pay a bit more for a crystal bright ( shiney appearence) screen though (15.4"). 4 or 6 screws on the surrounds plastics and just pop it off. around 8 screws holding the screen into the lid. there will be a small plug connecting the screen to the invertor at the bottom right side and a wider flat cable on the back. easy. pm me if i can assist any more.

can either fix it yourself.....or just plug in an external monitor allowing you to work on it.
