had my st3 for just over 2 months 06 plate just turned 15k miles and the gearbox has just let go is this a common issue or do i really have a shoddy one lol thank the lord its still under warrenty what would one cost

the ford mechanic that came and collected it said either gearbox or engine mount or driveshaft related


are they really all this bad

Never heard of them having any issues at all tbh apart from being thirsty on petrol lol


Maybe you are too hashy ?


Its always a thought in your head when buying these type of cars as to who owned it before and how was it treated etc etc

and yeah hurts me on fuel lol

there is a tsb for the driveshaft inner joints failing resulting a metallic click and/or vibration.sorted bt mid 2006 iirc.
never heard of a box letting go though
