I had exactly the same crash with a German bloke on some country lanes... he was in a Z4 I was in a Rover 216.... luckly we were going much slower than you!

I know one thing the seat moved forward as if it slipped on its runners
It also twisted to the side towards the gearstick
I wouldnt have thought the seatbelt pre tensioners would have twisted the seat
Going to get the diesel out of it tommorow as it was full ,

Glad your ok mate, Hope the lady makes a full recovery. Her car does look so smashed to bits though. It is totally mullered. Mondeo looks like it stood up VERY well.
Be interested to know the Euro Ncap results for the cars involved.

One thing you dont think about when your trying to keep your seats clean

fookin ell mate, glad ur here to tell the tale, could have been a LOT worse.
Hope the other lady is ok, had she been drinking or anything like that as its unusual for women to overtake, let alone on a bend.

just think what would 0of happened if you were in a saxo / ka etc, would be a diff story, i seriously buy cars by there crash test rating, we have a 02 laguna dci scored 5 stars good enough to keep the wife and kids safe as poss
