Default My new car........Possibly

What do you lot think then ??????

I fancy doing something a bit different.

I have always liked the RS200 but at around £50K it is a bit
beyond my finances at present.

Being board with my Escort cossie and becoming more of a track freak,
I have been looking around for something a bit raw and rapid but
still YB powered.

I have been looking at RS200 replicas called the EVO200 (formally known as KARA)
This is a rear wheel drive cossie powered car that weighs only 1100 kilos.
It is a kit car but I have found this one ready made.

I would change the wheels for some 18's !!!!

Current engine with 350 BHP ( I would up the power to 450 BHP low lag )

Here is another car ....

Here is the link to the kit car manufacturer website...
www.rsautomotive.co.uk

Any one wanna buy an escort cossie

Look nice Simon, but please make sure you thoroughly test drive them. I have heard HORROR stories about some of these replicas and if you are getting into the track scene, the last thing you want is a car that handles and drives like a dog!

It's going to be VERY tail happy on track with all that weight back there and rear wheel drive! Especially with a low lag 450bhp lump, tap the throttle mid corner and round you go!!

In actual fact, the weight distribution is 48% front 52% rear nearly 50/50 !

Not when the power exceeds a certain point, which is usually acknowledged to be around the 300bhp mark, which is where beyond this most chassis struggle to put the power down without spinning the tyres .

As an example, Karl's 3-door is considerably lighter and more powerful than mine, but his corner speed and exit speed was CONSIDERABLY slower at Donno .

KARA are out of business. RS AUTOMOTIVE ( www.rsautomotive.co.uk )
took over the leftovers.
They only ever made the cossie version.

The MAESTRO version is pants and made by someone else.
