are laptops worth anything in bits or sell broken?
ive got a sony vaio vgn-fe41s#
had a spiliage on it wont turn on
also whats the chances of stripping it and cleaning of the circuit boards etc and it working>

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
I think its worth taking them appart and cleaning up. I've spilled stuff on my laptop before but i had the keyboard off and it all dry within minutes. It is possible that a clean up will fix it but unlikely.
Failing that though assume the motherboard is dead and sell the parts on ebay individually, ie. screen.... hdd carrier (if there is one), cd drive, ram....

yes its got the dual core thingy 2 gig, big hard drive thing is spose most f it will be fixed although not sure as laptop did work again after couple days than began to be a pain to switch on and now it doesnt atall so insurance giving me a new one, they didnt even want to inspect it just replacing
