It's because they are 25% Mag mate, not best off as a road wheel, they WILL go time and time again now!

Sticky's are fucked from constant cracking/repairing, there is a guy called Ian that can repair them and does them for a lot of people AFAIK, someone on here will know who I mean and give you a number

IMO Lee it's time for a change and some CXN's with Black centre's on your car would be stunning!

Where is the best place then for me to have them sorted. My mate recons he can weld them no probs he has welding sticks that are a high mag content, but i have been told they might start leaking air !!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP

a mate welded my rl7's. you need to get the person who welds them to grind the cracks out so there really big then weld then VERY hot or they will crack again. mine have been fine for 6000 miles

might as well get your mate to do them, whats the worse that can heppen... they will need doing again. as i said make sure he grinds the cracks out a good 4mm wide & weld them very hot. cant see why they would go down when done

i was another that suffered the dredded RL7 cracking issue.

over the course of 3 ish years each wheel must have been welded about 6 times.

in the end i had enough of it - shame as they were/are one of the best looking wheels out there!!

Exactly what mine have done mate. I must have at least 5 repairs in each wheel at the moment. They are holding air at the moment, but those wheels are on borrowed time....

Such a shame as there a nice wheel.
