anybody got the 3g mobile broadband?
hello all, a freind of mine has just got the 3g mobile broadband for his lap top with the dongle and cant get it to work, it says you just plug it in your laptop and off ya go but cant any signal , anybody got this

sim card in and its the Huawei E169G usb modem cost Ł10.00 a month, just checked coverage for my area and should be ok, been out in car with laptop and dongle in but still no coverage

Ive got the 3gig a month for Ł15
worked straight away after instaling
never had to phone c.services to activate it
signal can be blocked by big buildings as ive found out
but i get up to 4 bars on mine where it is so aint all bad
d/l speed is a little poor but thats down to signal where i am
u/l speed is shit tho to be honest

Yeh it seems hit and miss if you have to activate it, depends on the company I think.
T-Mobile whom I am with didn't require me to ring up to Activate it, but I think Orange do. Not sure about the others though.
