Some of you may know that Fighting Torque 2008 is being run at RAF Woodbridge on August 10th 2008.
This is for all standard and road tuned spercars to show what they can do over a mile racing such things as a Noble against an Ultima, or a Tvr against a Porsche.
We have around 95 cars registered so far, and even have some interesting cars coming along, which include, a genuine Dodge Charger police car in fiull livery, along with more classic cars such as an Aston Martin Vantage, various Vipers Porsches etc.
Spectator tickets are available from the Fighting Torque office on 01469 560574, and cost £25 with a special offer of 5 tickets for the price of 4 for group bookings.
It promises be a great day out for anyone interested in fast cars.
As a special treat, we have Rod Tarrys Sierra Cosworth , and Mick Begleys jun Superlemon Skyline appearing at the event as ambassadors on behalf of Toyo Tires.
Rod and Mick are going to run their cars as a staged demonstration, to show have awesome these cars are in the flesh.
The runs are to provide a spectacle for the public, and the film crews who are also attending to cover the event.
The cars are being asked to run similar power outputs to make the runs competative over a mile, with Rods car around 1,000bhp, and Micks around 1160bhp, so no one knows what the outcome will be.It does however promise to be spectacular.
For the last run of the day, Mick may run at full power, which could be close to 1500bhp to end the show on a high.

Hi, yes entry is open until 31-7-08, and the cost of entry is £125 which allows driver and a passenger entry to the venue.
Theres also the Mazda challenge which is open to anyone attending spectator or competitor. This is a timed slalom course driving MX5 cars.
The winner last year won a free trackday .
I think the same prize will be offered again.
Entry for that can be bought on the day . last year it cost £10 for a run and you can have as many goes as you wish.
Tickets for admission I believe have to be bought in advance, but spectator tickets will be available after 31-7-08 on the number in my original post.

I attended this last year and it was a really good day with the Nobles running amock and winning overall.
I am running again this year and would thoroughly recommend it if you want to see some of the best stuff out there going head to head.

This should be fantastic.
It is a pleasure to be running against such an icon of a car such as Rods.
Big thank you to TOYO tyres for the invite. I wouldn't put any other tyres on my cars except for TOYO. The Lemon runs on 888's for track days and T1R's for the street![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)

I wont use the nitrous on the car running against Rod. But i will do at the end of the day. It wouldn't be fair.
This is a demo run for Toyo tyres but it will be a spectacular one that's for sure. once in a life time to see the two cars run beside each other.
