anyone use AVG? need some help on removing viruses

Default anyone use AVG? need some help on removing viruses

as above, i run my anit virus and it said it was all ok, run i ran AOL anti spy thing it found 4 things.
also my computer popped a box up saying i had a

trojain horse downloader.dafica.z.af

WTF is that? i know trojain's are bad but why aint my AVG picking it up? could it be that it says it cant open some files and its in one of them? if so how do i open them to be checked?

seems im getting something every week near enough

Its nasty. I used to get AVG advising me that it has found a Trojan (similar name to yours) and that I should run AVG for Windows to clear it. When I ran it, it found nothing.

I ended up re-loading Windows........

thats what mine says, and it finds fook all, what you mean you had to reload windows?
sorry peeps, not the brightest bulb in the box when iot comes to computers

thats because avg is really very poor. use one of the free online scans from norton or mcafee

right will give it ago with nortons first then resort to rudey way last, im not thegood with computers, whats the chance i could f*ck it right up rudey?

With this type of file (I'm assuming the filename has a ? or / in it somewhere?) you will have to delete sometime the whole folder containing this file. Normally start in Safe mode and then once in you have to delete the TEMP folders from various locations and also run AVG at this point. Delete anything it finds and then restart. I have the complete text file at home how to remove this. i will post it for you later.
