Default Golf Mk4 De-cat

Had powerflow make me a pipe up to replace the cat, mot is tomorrow so putting the cat back on, will i set any engine management lights off or can i put it back on and hay presto?

you see any sensors connected to any part of the exhaust you're changing?

nope, so there's nothing to upset.

Do you know what engine code you have??

The early golfs have 1 sensor.

The later one have 2 sensors.

If it's a later one with 2 sensors it is the Second lambda sensor that will cause the engine management light to come on. You can put a spacer on the lambda but it's not a definative fix and it's seems that it works for some and not for others
