I'm running 8x17's.
PM 'NUTS RuS' for an exact price for your requirements, as there are various disk sizes and 4 or 6 pots dependant upon your wheels and requirements.
Put it this way they are hundreds of pounds cheaper than an equivalent AP kit. And the calipers are Brembo ones anyway.

looking good!

im toying with the idea of using the std 2wd calliper with a spacer to take focus rs discs - easy 330mm brake upgrade, but then i see your car lol

how would the 2wd calliper and 280mm disc fair on the rears? with a compbrake kit up front?

Very nice Dave. I remember lusting after that car when it was brand new

That was about 19 years ago!

Still got the advert in AT when he sold it as well....sadly insurance was a no-go for me at that time....

P.S. Like the wheels

Thank you for your knowledge but the Compbrake B7 is manufactured by the above.

The Pro 1 - 6 are manufactured in the UK in Blackburn HTH

Neil,

There is a single pot spot caliper similar to the AP one just being finished.
That will take care of the MOT rules and then the 4 pot caliper can be fitted on the same bracket on the back to do the braking.

We had it on show down at GTi International Show at Brunters the other week.

Is it for road use ?
Whats up with it at the minute ?

The 300mm upgrade is suitable, then you can play with pad compound hard or soft until you find one that gives you the best balance with the suspension set up you have.

If its competition use then a bias box should naturally be looked at to further enhance what you have.

Its for road use but may try a few topspeed runs later if things go well. I have a 300mm setup on the rear justnow, to be honest its also partly for looks aswell

Keeping the same caliper and going up to a 330 x 20 mm rotor won't effectivly get you any better braking but may "look" better in the wheel.

But remember adding extra unsprung weight works against your top speed runs.

Biggest problem on looks is that rotors above 330mm dont generally come in 20mm width.

Thats when there is a need to step up to a 24/28/32mm rotor and a 4 pot caliper. Then its entering competition teratory with re plumbing and pedal boxes utalised to get the most effective use from them.

Im sure you know that already tho'
