Default BMW M3 CD player problem

Lent my car to my dad over the weekend and he was listening to a CD. When i went to take the CD out today it ejected and then because i took so long it went back into the cd player

nothing unusal!

Then pushed the eject button again and nothing. Anyone know if i can reset tis or fix it easily as its a bit of an odd one. Also is this a common thing on the E46?

Thanks for your help in advance

Mine did that with a copied cd once. I just kept turning it off and on and holding eject - eventually it decided to give me it back!

that was it

if youve left it over night, theoretically it should do it for you in the morning ok!

press and hold eject for quite some time to see if that works.

My Ford Focus does this and I worked out it only ever does it with Copied CD's which have a label on them when they are hot.

Yeah i can understand that but this was a CD out of HMV! doh

Anyway got it sorted this morning but rather not happy with the way it was done. Popped it in to BMW Banstead and told them what the problem was then some guy in greasy overalls comes out and pumps in the passenger seat pushes the button and holds it and tells me "thats not working right" (i know that dumbass thats why i bought it to you) Anyway he then start to falsefully slap my dash so much that my road angel fell off the windscreen and the tray under the stereo popped itself opened. Eventually it came out and we found for some reason the CD from HMV was slighty thicker than any others i had. Gave the guy a drink for his work then on the way back to the office notices that there was all grease and black marks over the passenger seat that i just spent the last half hour trying to get off.

At least its working now

Default Beemer Service :(

BMW service is crap - put mine in for a service and they washed the car outside and hoovered the carpet, but i noticed crushed crisps all over the passenger seat when i drove it home again!!!!! Some YTS clown must have been eating in it as I never eat in my car!!! AAARRGGGHHH

Funny, this has happened to mine. By all accounts the loading arms bend on them. My cd is half stuck in the player and half the shuttle. The Changer is currently in getting fixed!

This seems a common problem.
