spraying intercooler

hi want to sort a argument out between two peeps one is saying spray intercooler and pipes with hammerite and the other is saying spray it with some VHT or bbq paint

anyone got any views who is in the right?

i dont think the cooler would be overly efficient after that

thin matt black is proven to be more efficient iirc

If you cover it in masking tape, it keeps the sunlight off it, so you get lower ACT's

Surely any covering, be it paint or masking tape

, will reduce efficiency?
Im guessing it will be a very small reduction though?
