Default what rods and pistons

what rods and pistons for turboing a st170 engine. no vvt. good for about 350bhp?

Farndon rods and Calibra Turbo pistons, with a bit machined out of them to fix the CR.. Otherwise something custom from someone like Ian Howell. There's nothing off the shelf that'll do you..

agreed, or eagle rods (£160ish) and a set of custom pistons from JE... they have a 3-4 week lead time and are only $175 each (about £90), just email or call them with what you need and they can make it

what sorta comp ratio should i run?

I wouldn't run anything higher than 7.5:1 for that power on pump fuel.

Nothing in the slightest wrong with 9.0:1 for that power mate.

There are Eagle Rod and JE Piston kits on ebay for about £500 - what you have to remember is that the ST170 head runs an 11cc smaller combustion chamber so raises the compression ratio over standard zetec.

Ian Howell can probably sort you out with a kit for around £1000
