Some awsome tunes being mentioned on here
Used to go to Golden@Void in Stoke on Trent with a few mates every Saturday for about 2 years solid. Some of the best nights I have ever had and probably will ever have! That was a few years back now though, sadly shut down now

I actually emailed Judge Jules to see if you could get copies of mixes he did on the radio etc from about 8yrs ago I used to record them at Uni. He (or one of his lackys) emailed back saying unfortunately not although he wished he had recorded them. I had a great tape of a set he had done with beachball and others but it got knicked out of the car when the radio was stollen. I expect they must be in some Radio 1 archive somewhere.
Top DJ, leant over the booth and shook me and the missus hand at Eden in Ibiza this summer. Quality night

Seen Judge Jules play a few times over the years..
To be honest his mixing is crap (he makes his fair share of fuck-ups - taking off the wrong record, beat mis-matching etc) and a lot of bedroom DJs despise him for his lack of skill..
But he sure knows what tune to play and when so it's always a great night
Lisa Lashes was the same too! (is she still about??)
I saw Fergie a good few years ago, he was one of the best DJs i've seen technically (they couldn't get him off the stage at gone 5am at Golden once )

yeah technically most residents are better than the big names ive seen but thats prob down to non familiar equipment etc
its what you play rather than how you play I reckon!! although a good foook up on mising a track does make you stop in your dance and pi55 laughing.
wasnt impressed with boy george when seen him before - had full longest version of benny benassi ever... left it going... totally whank to dance to and monotomous. suppose he just liked the tune - repetitive songs like that need quick changes.
thats why i love all the older stuff thats been listed here... simply great to dance to!

Armin Van Burren, PVD + Ferry Corsten are the best DJ's imo. Been to Crasher, Gods Kitchen, Slinky, Creamfields, Crasher Summer Sound System, Crasher @ NEC etc etc loads + seen pretty much every DJ over the last 5 years, shame the damn car has put pay to that of late!!!
Agree with the Judge Jules thing though, sometimes he's awesome, other times he's cheesy + rubbish.

We need to set up some kind of PF music sharing thingy, can we set up a Direct Connect hub? (I don't know anything about them!)
I have millions of the old(ish) tunes on mp3 and am more than happy to let others sample them for 24 hours before they delete them to obey the copyright laws

I remember watching Carl Cox DJing at Golden once. Was stood up behind the DJ box looking down on him for about an hour! I have never seen any other DJ put so much energy and passion into thier set as he did that night. The sweat was just pouring off him!

What about Ferry Corsten, and System F, thought they were both quite reasonable. Trance nation 4 was a total stormer!
