Default Securing a wireless router...

How do i do it? I`ve bought a wireless router which is installed but at the moment it is a `Unsecure Network`. Anyone know how to make it `Security Enabled` please?

Cheers, Ed.

Find your routers address. Usually http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 Type that in internet explorer, Should ask for a username and password usually Admin / Admin

Once your in find wireles security settings an set a wep key, Make sure you write it down, then that should be it... but you will need to enter the wep key into the computers that are connecting to it.

Hope that helps

If you've got XP SP2 at least, use WPA as its more secure than WEP. WEP can be broken by anyone with a free tool you can get off t'internet.

Use a pre- shared key when you set it up. This is a good guide to it
