Guys what up-date version are you now on ??

ok cool this is the version its told me to down load, do you know what is new with this version ?

 

It's just a minor 'system stability' update - 2.40 will have some cool features apparently (in game XMB access - means you don't have to exit a game to add friends etc..)

If you do a Google on ps3 system update 2.4 you'll see what's rumoured to be in it, but no dates announced as yet. (in the past, the major updates seem to coincide with big game releases)

 

I just bought a PS3 40gb, should I do these updates?

System update in settings but your ps3 has to be set up for the net

 

it's only a small download, doesn't take long at all.
