i know there slightly different can you adapt them to fit?

Yes, they bolt straight in but you will need a spacer between the diff casing and beam on one of the top fixings. It's about 13mm wide. You will also need to fit 4x4 shafts and outer flanges.

as said,but just change the diff flanges to 2wd ones.easy to do.just remove the back cover,remove the c clips,and out comes the flange.

4X4 ones seem to be cheaper then the 7.5" 2wd one. And there also found in later xr4x4's(with a slight difference in ratio)

weight reduction and fuel saving - it will break meaning you don't drive it
