Looking to do a bit of trimming to tart up some bits and bobs in the car. Where can i buy alcantara from? Or even the fake looky likey stuff. Had a look round on ebay and other places but can't find anything! My local fabric shop doesn't stock it.

ring a local car trimmer out the yellow pages, if they got some you can have a peep.

my mate Chester Autotrim uses it along with all sorts of other car trim/leather etc

I bought some cream alcantara-typre stuff (no idea if it is genuine or not) off ebay and when I took it to my trimmer he explained it couldn't go on the headlining because the material didn't have enough stretch to go into the moulded recesses around the chicken handles, sunvisors, etc.

What colour?

I have a massive roll of very expensive genuine alcantara in a midnight purple/ford aubergine colour that I'd be willing to part with for a very reasonable amount.

thanks for the replies guys, as iain says i may well have trouble with it due to the intricate bits i need to trim, so i'll probably go down the flocking route.
