There are approx 5 companys that make screens for all lcd's

Panasonic
Sharp
Samsung
LG

Cant remember the other company LOL.....

Note they only make the screens though the bits that make the TV could be different per a sony screen to a samsung screen though

60 ft screen? Dont fancy your leccy bill m8 LOL

I bought my 42" panny plasma 3 yrs ago, about to upgrade to a 50" panny plasma. In fact I bought it with no speakers, and use my 7.1 pioneer dts amp all the time the TV is on. Get the best components for EACH job IMHO.

Oh, and Panasonic make their own screen as Dingy stated, had ZERO problems with mine over the last 3 years, hence sticking with them.

speakers have never been on my 50" lg since i bought it 2 years ago

amp and surround sound is needed for the full experience

next time im gonna actually buy a panel (tv without speakers)

panny and pioneer speakers are pricey though

i paid 1300 for the amp and speakers, and now being a few years old, they still do the job and nothing to replace em by (unless spending silly money)

im only upgrading because i want 1080p compatibility and a panny 1080p plasma
