after a new lcd around 40'' is it true most tv's have lg internals anyway? i have a bose lifestlye system so would like quality to match

There are approx 5 companys that make screens for all lcd's
Panasonic
Sharp
Samsung
LG
Cant remember the other company LOL.....
Note they only make the screens though the bits that make the TV could be different per a sony screen to a samsung screen though

First mass produced was by sharp i believe and LG is basically philips who invented most things in electronic entertainment - so who ever says lg are shit really aint got a clue LOL...

I bought my 42" panny plasma 3 yrs ago, about to upgrade to a 50" panny plasma. In fact I bought it with no speakers, and use my 7.1 pioneer dts amp all the time the TV is on. Get the best components for EACH job IMHO.

Oh, and Panasonic make their own screen as Dingy stated, had ZERO problems with mine over the last 3 years, hence sticking with them.

speakers have never been on my 50" lg since i bought it 2 years ago
amp and surround sound is needed for the full experience
next time im gonna actually buy a panel (tv without speakers)
panny and pioneer speakers are pricey though
