as title, its a Y reg ford focus automatic 1.6i. also where is the filter located on the car? i havent had a look as of yet

yeah that looks right.filter is located under the car on drivers side at the rear.held up by an 8mm bolt which holds the bracket and 3 pipes

as he said, but you may find you have a different sized mounting bracket on the car and will need the newer type bracket to fit your filter, as they changed them around that time but only make later filters/brackets not the earlier ones.
